My name is Trini Garro and I have a neuromuscular condition known as Systemic Dystonia. Due to the painful muscle cramping it causes, I can no longer paint as well as I know I can, so a therapist suggested I try creating with photographs manipulated with Adobe PhotoShop. Using this computer program has caused a radical shift in the nature of my pieces, which I like to refer to as "Psychological Landscapes." While working is still painfully slow and laborious for me, I derive great satisfaction just knowing that the disease has not yet taken my ability to make a striking and original artisitc statement.
