Being young with a rare disease and not understanding why there is something wrong with you is very hard to accept. Trying to understand why the doctors can't fix you. Why you hurt. Why you get injured so easily. Why you need braces. It's all so hard for anyone to have to understand but it can be particularly hard on people who are younger and don't get why all of their friends can run and play but they, themselves, cannot. It's hard to come to the realization that the doctors cannot fix you. It can make you feel awfully alone in the world and in need of support and help.
