When I took up photography, it was a way to express myself without having to go in front of the camera. Living with Parry Rombergs Syndrome (PRS) has forced me to face my life head on, no matter what other people may say, think, or do. Although I may hide my face behind my camera, my photographs allow me to express what I am feeling without having to say them outloud.

When I took "Left Behind" I was feeling lost and well, left behind. The cotton had just been harvested, and on a whim, I jumped out of my car and over a ditch, laid in the dirt and snapped the shot. I love this photograph because it reminds me that I am not alone, nor left behind. I am a stronger person because of PRS and I am no longer "Left Behind".
