i am a photographer but i enjoy all mediums. art is very therapeutic to me. my photography helps me express what i can not express in words. i enjoy taking photos of people the most because i love to pull the emotions out of the person and put it into an image. i have been diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder. i consider it a weakness usually, but when it comes to photography it is my strength. if i didn't have my depression i know i could never capture the images that i do.

my son is two, and he was born with a rare brain disorder called semilobar holoprosencephaly, an illness where his left and right brain is fused together. i am told he will never crawl, walk, talk, and be developmentally an infant the rest of his life and most do not live to be adults. my art has become more important than ever, but i do not have enough time for art, but it is something that helps me tremendously, so i try to make sure i have a small amount of time every week for it.
