Pain set in.
Test after test.
My body fights me from within.
I look in the mirror and ask,
“Who is this person inside my skin?”

For the past year, I have been fighting Gastroparesis. What started as a painful, but silent disorder has changed me. I live it every day. I look in the mirror and see two selves. One who was social, lively, and active. The other, who is scared, frustrated, and worn. To help me cope, I turn to my passion, photography.

This picture is one of an on-going series of self-portraits taken throughout my battle with Gastroparesis.
