Emma created this self portrait on Veteran's Day 2009 while attending an art camp. She was asked to paint herself wearing a hat from one of the branches of the military. Aside from the beauty of the painting, I think this speaks to her being a warrior everyday by living with Epidermolysis Bullosa.
