I suffer from gastroparesis and chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction, among many other conditions. Nothing is more healing for me than to be able to express myself through art. I have difficulty verbally expressing my thoughts to others.

I also love nature. I bought a Jeep Wrangler for the purpose of being able to spend nice days on the roads soaking in the beauty of my surroundings.

I have learned that one of the best means of coping is through art. At times I express my feelings through my work by drawing out my fears and frustrations. Other times my ability to cope is simply painting the pleasures of life and enjoying my environment. Landscapes are one of my favorite themes. So many aspects of medicine involve nature in some form, but it is full of added chemicals. Medicine for me also involves capturing the environment in natural form.
