My 16 year old daughter was born as healthy child. Symptoms started 5 years ago. It took more then for years of asking, reading, searching for diagnosis. Now we know - it is NBIA - Neurodegeneration with Brain Iron Association. It affects her speech, gait, balance, IQ, sight...Generalized dystonia is most obvious on her fingers and feet. At same time it affects her schooling, friendship... but she remain to be happy child with contagious smile.
