I photograph mountains because we all have “mountains” in our lives that challenge us. Because I have Addison’s and Graves’ Diseases, I can no longer physically climb to the top of snowy peaks, but I can apply the principles of climbing to meet the daily challenges of living with rare, chronic diseases: Take the first step. Keep trying. Rest when you need to. Plan ahead. Nourish your body and your soul.
