My photography has always been personal and usually is an expression of those things I'm not able to speak about. As an artist affected by a rare disease, I think my creativity often gets lost in all the upset that Interstitial Cystitis has caused in my life. I've had to let go of some of the directions I wanted to take with my life. I've had to let go of some of the directions I wanted to take with my photography because my body just can't handle them. But at the end of the day photography is one of the only things that takes me out of my body yet keeps me connected at the same time.
