I am an artist by profession. Art is the pillar of my life. It provides me the strength I need to deal with marfan syndrome, a genetic disease which affects the connective tissue of the body, most commonly affecting the aorta, which I have had replaced after multiple dissections.
"In my art, I treat my surfaces with colors influenced by synesthesia, combined with multilayers of alluring forms and medium manipulations which beat to the rhythm of life as I experience it, always searching for a deeper understanding of the macrocosm and of the human microcosm."
This piece is part of a body of work that is trying to understand how our urban habits and technological invasion coexist with the beautiful fact that we are able to be connected instantly to any place or anyone on this planet. We criticize advancement and its negative effects yet we adore its benefits.
Connectivity is a big subject in my life and always present in my art.
